Longing for the Beloved

Posted on Jun 15th, 2007 by Farzad : The Wailing Reed Farzad
Maze
I’ve endured pain of a Love, don’t even ask
I’ve endured the bitter poison of separation, don’t even ask

I searched through the world and finally
Picked a loved one, don’t even ask

Longing for the dust of my beloved’s door
In tears are my eyes, don’t even ask

With my own ears from my beloved’s mouth
I’ve heard many words, don’t even ask

Don’t bite your lips for me and be silent
Sweet lips I have found, don’t even ask

Without You in the court of beggars
I’ve endured sufferings, don’t even ask

Just like Hafez the stranger on the path of Love
I have reached a high status, don’t even ask
