Friends,
I am leaving Gaia and will be blogging on wordpress instead http://wailingreed.wordpress.com
I will still keep my old blogs here, keep checking your profile pages, and all that good stuff. But my new blogs will not be here anymore due to overwhelming distracting banner ads on this site.
Hope to see you on wordpress.

Is it just me or Gaia is losing its quality? Seems like the page is littered with ads and junk. Can't they trim down a little so that people's blogs and info becomes visible?

"It is clear that Iran intends to interfere with the internal affairs of all of these people and try to continue their efforts to fund terrorism, whether it's Hezbollah or Hamas or other proxies," she [Clinton] said.
I wonder if Iran invaded Gaza killing 300 children in less than 20 days, with our tax dollars?
Or was it Iran that occupied Iraq and caused numerous death and destruction for no good reason?
Or was it Iran that supported Saddam for more than a decade?
Or I wonder if it was Iran who funded Taliban then attacked it?!
Let's worry about our own mess before worrying about other countries.

During my third visit to Shiraz, I had to pay my respects to Shah Cheragh. In that journey, I faced something that will bother my mind for the rest of my life:
A little girl approached me trying to sell chewing gum.
"How old are you?"
"I'm ---- old..." she whispered …
“How old? Louder, dear…I can’t hear you…”
“Nine years old”
She was very cute, reminded me of my daughter. But her face and hair was filled with dust, as if she had not taken bath for many months.
“What’s your name?”
“Parvaneh” (it means butterfly)
“That’s a pretty name, why do you sell gums?”
“Please buy it…”
“How much?”
“20 cents”
I gave her a dollar
She looked at it, almost panicked: “But I have no change!” almost in tears.
“Not a problem, keep it.”, I said.
She smiled and ran away, like a butterfly, to her mother who was sitting in a corner wrapped in her chador.
I left the scene, puzzled…with tens of questions in my mind and great regret: why didn’t I talk to the mother and offer more help…in the shadows of a great place as Shah Cheragh.
